Klaudia, Portraits in Plymouth, 21.5.19
Where were these photographs taken?
These photographs were taken in a beautiful public garden in Plymouth.
Some words about the shoot…
We’re still in the process of building up Klaudia’s modelling portfolio. We’ve done a whole bunch of more street / industrial styled shoots so we went for something softer this time which definitely fits in with my general vibe at the moment.
I’m really wanting to achieve a femininity with my work at the moment. If I can achieve not just a digital softness but also an innocence to my images where people can look at them and not instantly just go ‘a guy took those photographs’ then I’ll be pretty happy.
As a side note, the weather was pretty harsh sunlight, which is usually an absolute nightmare for me but I definitely feel like I’m starting to embrace days like this for shooting a little more.
Some words on future improvement…
I’m definitely hoping that creatively I can work on mixing up poses and also communicating direction. It’s something that, having mostly worked with people building portfolios rather than people with a steady amount of experience behind them, I’ve had to wrestle with more often than not and something I still struggle with.
Also, working on mixing more shots (wide, close-ups) and different angles is definitely something I need to improve upon. It’s easy to get caught up in the moment when you’re shooting but I’m sure I’ll get there in the end!
