Holly and I tried shooting together a couple of times late last year and every time we were due to shoot there was a storm, no joke.
I’ve not been shooting many portraits so far this year but I wanted to approach things a little bit differently with this one so I mainly used my 85mm lens rather than relying on wide angle lenses. I think that sometimes it’s important to change up on lenses just because it changes your perspective on how you shoot and how you approach composition. Usually head shots are my last concern and I don’t really do them but with the 85mm they are such a joy that they ended up being a big part of this shoot.
