Sarah, Portrait Photography in UK, 18.8.20

Where were these photographs taken?
These photographs were taken remotely from my living room whilst Sarah was in her kitchen in the UK.

Some words about the shots…
I’m a bit of a technophobe (I know, doesn’t really mix with digital photography) so I was super late on the whole remote portrait shoot thing and by the time I said I was keen to try it out, people were basically shooting face to face again!

Anyway, Sarah offered to shoot with me and luckily enough had shot in this way before. Having seen how bad my internet connection is, I’m glad it wasn’t a zoom shoot but instead, I commandeered Sarah’s desktop remotely and photographed via their camera and a program on their computer.

Obviously it’s not ideal to shoot like this, and Sarah basically had to set up the camera, move it whenever I felt like we needed a new angle, and also pose, so they had a lot of work! While I just played around with settings their their desktop app and occasionally hit the shutter!

Hopefully I can do more remote shoots like this, although again, I feel like they’d need a camera, tripod and a desktop app rather than doing it through zoom (unless I get better internet!) and more so, I’m hoping that I can photography Sarah face to face in the future!
