Summer, Portrait Photography via Zoom, 13.1.21

Where were these photographs taken?
These photographs were taken using the power of the internet!

Some words about the shots…
The good thing about Zoom is that I’ve been able to work with people who I didn’t manage to photograph face to face. Summer is definitely a person with whom I’ve wanted to photograph face to face for awhile but it just hasn’t happened for a number of reasons so I’m glad we got there in the end, albeit through a computer screen!

For this one we went with the idea that summer was getting ready, so lots of mirror shots, which were obviously quite complex over Zoom (Sorry Summer) as well as some pretty standard headshots, not quite so complex!

As with every Zoom shoot I’ve done, I’ve tried something new. With this one I put coloured film over the lens for a handful of shots. I really vibed the red at the time. It definitely felt quite sultry which I guess red naturally does. I didn’t massively vibe yellow at the time but I think if the vibe was more vintage based then I think using the yellow would definitely add the right vibe to it. Hopefully I’ll get to test that in the future.

I hope you enjoy the Zoom shots!
