Some words about the shots…
I was called a day or two before this shoot as The Velvet Hands were due to shoot and their usual photographer happened to be ill so I filled in.

Not knowing the venue for the shots, the short notice and also having never worked with the band in a portrait setting, it was pretty difficult to mood board but the band knew that they wanted something a bit industrial and having seen them a whole bunch of time live I knew what they were about.

Generally I kept it pretty simple, bar shooting through pallets, there weren’t many arty or risky shots but moving forward, if I get to work with the band more I think I’ll definitely work on using the wide angle more and embrace a more nineties vibe to it.
