Human Future, Studio Bar 25.5.15
I must admit, I do love photographing heavier bands (in comparison to singer-songwriters). I think it's because, from my experience, there's more to capture emotionally with more alternative shows. They tend to be more energetic, and then the photography seems to be more about instinct. You either get the shot, or you miss it and it's gone.
Studio Bar had its own usual difficulties (poor lighting, coloured spot lights, as well as being a strange space) but I think it's the perfect space for bands and I thought that Human Future and Monolithian were just incredible, easily up there in the best bands that I've had the honour to photograph (Night Motor played llater and I'm sure they were great also but due to transport issues I couldn't watch them).
