Some words about the photos…
A couple of big days for Blue River, starting with a support performance on a rainy night in Newquay. Probably the tightest I’ve seen them since the new members arrived on the scene. Admittedly, not my finest hour in terms of photographing a show. I struggle with Whiskers because it’s such a busy looking venue, while the band members are cramped onstage and fighting against the two things is a struggle for me. Something to work on.

The following day the band were in HMV dong a signing. The shots are a quick documentation of this. I used my Fujifilm XT2 with a 35mm lens for these. I just wanted a small camera, small lens, so I could capture these and be as inconspicuous as a person using a phone. The important thing for me when shooting things like this is to create a series of images where you can explain their purpose without needing words which I think I’ve done with this.
