I’ve learned a lot from working with bands over the years, particularly in shooting portraits. While I’m very much about working towards my vision and having locations planned and shoots planned, sometimes when working with bands, this just isn’t possible.
I sometimes think that being a photographer is more about being flexible with the situation you’re working within and being an okay person to be around before even being able to take photographs. That’s what I take from every band shoot I do.
That said, we were very lucky here in that we had a cool car to work with and a neat house to photograph around. The band were lovely and super relaxed too!
