These photographs were taken using Zoom and the power of the internet!
Some words about the shots…
While a lot of shoots come from people contacting me via Facebook groups, modelling websites and the like. There is also the occasional time where I notice someone who I think is super interesting on Instagram. Nine times out of ten, if I go out of my way to ask someone to shoot (rather than in reverse), they don’t respond or do respond but don’t want to do it. Luckily though, Ellie said yes.
The thing that drew me to them was that Ellie just seemed to be Ellie. There seemed to be no concern in regards to vanity on Ellie’s Instagram feed. It’s more about an aesthetic and a vibe. That’s something I can totally get onboard with.
Anyway, with this shoot, we started with Ellie doing most of the work. Most of the time when I shoot, it’s me doing something to manipulate the image. So when we started, Ellie was more in control of that, using a series of vases, perfume bottles etc etc. After awhile I thought I’d give Ellie a rest and I did the experimenting instead.
I actually think with this we’ve created some incredibly interesting images. I hope Ellie likes them as much as me!
