Polina, Portrait Photography via Zoom, 22.2.21

Where were these photographs taken?
These photographs were taken using Zoom and the power of the internet!

Some words about the shots…
It’s only been a week but it feels like forever since I’ve shot.

It’s looking like the UK might be slowly coming out of lockdown. The shy anxious guy in me doesn’t really want it to happen. I have a bad habit of being all or nothing and this can definitely lead to a creative burn out. That doesn’t seem to be so much of the case via Zoom photo shoots because there is less travel etc.

I think moving forward, for TFP and more personal work, I want to try and do test shoots via Zoom. It’s important to figure out who you ‘vibe’ with, rather than travelling around, spending time and money on people I’ll never work with again.

Anyway, onto today! Polina was so great. It’s been interesting and amazing to work with people I wouldn’t normally so to work with someone outside of the UK is always a great experience. We kept it pretty simple here as it was Polina’s first ever Zoom shoot and I didn’t want to over complicate matters but I’d definitely work with Polina again and hopefully it will be possible again this year.

I hope you enjoy these Zoom portraits!
