I’ve probably amassed more floral photographs over the past month than I did for a whole year.
I’m working on developing a style and making the images a bit more painterly than before using a whole bunch of in-camera techniques.
Alongside this I’m starting to scan old floral prints using a flatbed scanner. Alongside this, in the future i’m going to scan fake and dried flowers. It’s going to be a long process but I’m enjoying creating ‘scenes’ and finding a new way to be creative. Currently I’m scanning through frosted glass as I want the images to be soft and again painterly, but I’m going to be attempting to scan through various things including bubble wrap over the next few months hopefully.
